It won’t be a white Christmas here in Reno…it won’t even be a wet Christmas. But it could be a blue Christmas by the afternoon. A dirty ridge of high pressure will keep us dry here in western Nevada with clouds clearing off by the afternoon on Christmas Day. Temperatures will remain mild, topping out in the low to mid-50s for the rest of the week, with no real chance of getting any rain or snow through the weekend.
Wow… is it Christmas already? I don’t know about you, but it really snuck up on me this year. Not one to procrastinate, we did manage to cut our Christmas tree two days ago. We try to make it a custom to get a permit and cut a tree out in the forest. For some reason, it just seems more “Christmas’y” to do so. And while some may take issues with harvesting the public’s trees, it actually serves a beneficial purpose for the forest. By thinning out some of the smaller trees, which are growing too close together to all become healthy when they are full grown, the overall health of the forest improves.
Merry Christmas everyone!
Same to you. Enjoying your educational info.
