Even though an odd shower isn’t out of the question, this will be a week that will be notable drier and warmer than the last couple. For Tuesday, high temperatures will approach the 90 degree mark with some afternoon clouds and a very small chance of an isolated afternoon shower. A weak trough of low pressure passes through Wednesday into Thursday, dropping our temperatures back to the low 80s Wednesday and then the low 70s Thursday, kicking up some still winds and even bringing a slight chance of showers or thunderstorms, but again, that chance will be slight and any rain we do get will likely be fairly sparse.
Temperatures rebound back into the low 80s as we enter the weekend with mostly sunny skies returning.
I realize this may be late, but I want to make sure that I don’t let Memorial Day pass by without offering my thanks, thoughts and prayers to those who serve and who have served our nation when called, and also to the family members of the same, particularly to the families of those who paid the ultimate price. The freedoms we enjoy and often take for granted every day are only here because of their courage, honor and sacrifice.
